Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born on the 7 of the 7 of December 1973, to Mr and Mrs Tim Oyakhilome, as the first son of the family. After his primary and secondary education, he attend Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, Edo State, Nigeria where he obtained the BSc in Architecture.

AAU also gave him an honourary Doctor of Science prize. He also holds an honorary doctorate from Benson Idahosa University in divinity. The Reverend Chris was married to Anita Obhodaghe once, and they have two children.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his ministry career while at AAU. The Believers’ LoveWorld fellowship was then known as Youths For Christ (YFC).

YFC expanded and was the largest church on campus. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy. Lagos is the location of the church’s headquarters. Believer’s LoveWorld has millions of associates and followers across the world.

Through the 2002 environment for the miracles program, BLW rose to prominence as an Christian ministry on TV in Africa.
