Flirting doesn’t come easily to everyone. Even the most confident people can freeze up and utter a "hey" when their crush approaches in the hallways. But don’t worry. If you struggle with flirting, we’ve got plenty of tips to help you master the art of the flirt and get your crush’s attention.

    1. Be confident. Confidence is the best thing. If you are strutting down the hallways like you own them, your crush (and everyone else!) will notice. The girl who is special will be loved by your crush.

    2. Show that you care about their lives. Everybody loves a compliment and almost everyone enjoys talking about themselves. Do not miss the chance to have a conversation with your crush. Ask them lots of questions about their life and show that you truly are interested. They will be grateful for your curiosity about them, and they will definitely look forward to another conversation.

    3. Your lips should be the focus of attention. Although it sounds absurd, it works. Lip gloss or chapstick are a must-have for every girl. When you see your crush coming your way, swipe on a layer. You will have your crush imagining these lips all day.

    4. Smile and say hi when you pass them in the halls. It can be terrifying to see your crush walking down the hall. Your gut reaction is likely to be to look at your phone and pretend that you are having a long text conversation. But, don’t do that! Look up and smile at them. There’s no need to have a long conversation, unless you really want to. You can just wave for a few seconds, then say hi and move on. Boom! You’ll be on the radar of your crush.

    5. You shouldn’t ignore your crush, but not for too long. This seems counterintuitive doesn’t you think? But imagine running into your crush and a group of their friends at McDonald’s. It’s a good idea to say hi to their friends before you start to make a group. Your crush may feel a bit alone until you reach out to them and include them in your day.

    6. Learn how to master the bump-and flatter. "Accidentally" run into
gitarijada at a crowded party. You can smile and say "Oh, sorry." I can become a complete klutz when it comes to cute people. gitarijada will be instantly impressed and eager to learn more about you. Then, introduce yourself and initiate a conversation.

    7. Don’t look at them. I know, this seems so scary. When someone notices you staring at them, they usually turn away quickly to not realize you were actually eating a hamburger. Next time, you might try this. You can have all the confidence you need. Next, smile back at your crush, and perhaps wink, if they notice you staring at them. This will make your crush feel confident and will allow you to have a conversation.

    8. Check out their clothes. Ask about any band shirts or sports jerseys they are wearing. This will show that you are interested in their lives and will spark a conversation.

    9. Sometimes, be clear. It could be that you are playing frisbee and accidentally throw it towards one of the beauties. An exaggerated apology lets them know you’re flirting on purpose (and in on the joke) and could lead to a conversation.

    10. Introduce your friend. If you’re not comfortable starting a convo by yourself, take your friend along. Although it may sound strange, sometimes it is easier to approach someone for another person.

    11. Before you meet them, flirt. Text "You should wear the blue shirt tonight. It makes your eyes stand out.:) This flirty text will let your crush know that you care and get them excited to meet you later. You can also see if they take your advice to gauge their interest in you.

    12. Start off with something cheesy to break the ice. If you’re thinking of pick-up lines, the only ones that are coming to you are probably super lame recycled ones. "Did it hurt…when I fell from heaven?" Or: How much does an elephant weigh? Just enough to break the ice!" Try to play it as smooth as possible, but don’t give up. Just be you! You know Jughead Jones would appreciate it.
